Premium Green Timber

Meeting your requirements.
Douglas Fir
But, not all Douglas fir is equal. Coast Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is decidedly stronger than other Douglas fir and larch species included in its strength category. FraserWood sources timber from the coastal forests of British Columbia and manufactures from only the highest-grade select structural timber.
An Ideal Choice For Demanding Applications
Available in a wide variety of girth and length, FraserWoods green Coast Douglas fir timber has a minimum of strength-reducing characteristics, making it an ideal choice for demanding post & beam applications.
FraserWoods quality assurance program ensures that our stock of Coast Douglas fir timber meets the select structural grade requirements. These stringent controls allow FraserWood to guarantee that our green timber material will be of surpassing quality.
Great Options for Premium Materials
Alaska Yellow Cedar
Also available from FraserWood is Alaska cedar, a.k.a. yellow cedar, (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis) which grows in the Pacific Coast region of North America. With a fine texture and straight grain, Alaska cedar shrinks little as it dries and demonstrates exceptional stability, making it an excellent choice for projects with equal emphasis on beauty and structure. Because of its decay-resistant heartwood, Alaska cedar is also an appropriate selection for environmentally demanding circumstances.
Port Orford Cedar
FraserWood also offers Port Orford cedar (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana), which like yellow cedar, is known as a false cedar. Both woods are actually cypresses, which means theyre stronger than other species in their strength category. Port Orford cedar, a sister species of timber used in Japanese temple buildings, is known for its low shrinkage, dimensional stability, decay resistance and aromatic smell. Its an admirable performer for exterior use in pavilions, porches, walkways, etc.
Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is known for its beautiful rich brown tones and strong aromatic scent. While it is much weaker than the other species listed, it does have excellent resistance to decay.
